Engineered for Reliability

Core Capabilities & Architecture

Architected from the ground up for self-hosted NAS, home appliances, and edge nodes requiring extreme stability and privacy.

High-Performance

SQLite WAL Relational Core

Decouples feed ingestion from runtime presentation with Write-Ahead Logging (WAL) for zero read-lock collisions and sub-millisecond channel retrieval.

High-Performance

Native Rust Pro Engine

Multithreaded fuzzy channel clustering, Jaro-Winkler deduplication, 7-slot failover pool, and concurrent batch stream verification running completely outside Python's GIL.

High-Performance

Cascading Rewrite Engine

Hierarchical Global → Source → Individual metadata transformations supporting Regex, Glob Wildcards, and direct mapping with immutable URL identity anchors.

High-Performance

WebRTC Blind Signaling (E2EE)

Zero-knowledge remote WebUI control over public networks using AES-256-GCM encrypted data channels and RFC 5766 TURN relays with zero SaaS inspection.

High-Performance

k-Anonymity & Zero-PII Core

Passwordless Passkeys, blind HMAC hashes, Zero-PII Chatwoot helpdesk, and ad-blocker resilient piggybacked system bulletins eliminate all user tracking.

High-Performance

Zero-I/O RAM Disk Processing

Decompressions and dynamic streaming cache reside strictly in /dev/shm volatile memory, preventing SSD write wear and maximizing throughput.

Subprocess IPC & Concurrency

High-Speed Subprocess IPC Boundary

Combines the rapid API routing of FastAPI with the uncompromised raw performance of native multithreaded Rust.

Self-Hosted

Local NAS Appliance

Runs directly on your Synology, Unraid, TrueNAS, or home server via unified container.

✓ 100% Private Media • Zero Cloud Decryption
Direct Conduit

WebRTC E2EE Tunnel

Zero-knowledge peer-to-peer data channels for remote control without opening public router ports.

🔒 End-to-End Encrypted • No Open Ports
Zero-PII

Central SaaS Services

Handles cryptographic license validation, ephemeral relay signaling, and privacy-preserving metrics.

✓ Blind HMAC Hashing • No User Tracking
Technical Architecture Blueprint ↓
Pluvira System Architecture Topology
GIL Bypass

Heavy XMLTV parsers and regex rewrites execute outside Python's lock in native OS threads.

Crash Sandbox

Isolated process spaces ensure worker panics never interrupt the primary WebUI or stream delivery.

Direct SQLite WAL

Zero-copy batch operations read and write directly into SQLite databases via native sqlx.

Graceful Fallback

Missing Pro binaries or handshake timeouts transparently degrade to standard Python execution.

Zero-PII Architecture • Mere Conduit E2EE • Zero Stream Decryption

Transparency & FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers regarding media stream ownership, licensing, failover mechanics, and zero-knowledge privacy.

Does Pluvira supply TV channels, video streams, or media content? ▼
NO. Pluvira is strictly a self-hosted media management software and uninspected communication conduit. Pluvira does not host, broadcast, decode, cache, or distribute any media content. Users are solely responsible for supplying their own legitimate M3U playlists and XMLTV guides.
What can I do with the Personal Free Tier (BSL 1.1)? ▼
Pluvira is 100% free for personal, non-commercial home use with up to 2,500 catalog channels, 25 curated channels in 'My List', 2 failover slots per channel (Slot 0 + Slot 1), 2 concurrent local client views, and 1 manual Zero-Knowledge E2EE cloud backup snapshot (200 KB).
How does the 14-day Pro trial work? ▼
You can voluntarily activate a full 14-day Pro trial with 1-click on-demand directly in your local WebUI. Zero credit cards required. Authentication is handled seamlessly via passwordless biometric Passkeys or OAuth2.
What happens when my trial or subscription ends? ▼
Pluvira enforces a strict non-destructive policy. Curated channels beyond position 25 in 'My List' remain safely stored in your local SQLite database. They appear with a padlock badge in the WebUI and are excluded from dynamic M3U exports. Re-subscribing to Pro instantly re-activates all channels without re-configuration.
How does WebRTC remote access work without port forwarding? ▼
Remote access establishes a direct peer-to-peer WebRTC Data Channel encrypted end-to-end with AES-256-GCM. Pluvira Cloud operates solely as an uninspected 'Mere Conduit' signaling relay for NAT traversal. The cloud cannot inspect, decrypt, or log management traffic, stream data, or local credentials.
What does the Business Source License 1.1 (BSL) mean? ▼
The BSL 1.1 license guarantees open source code visibility and free personal use, while converting automatically to the Apache License 2.0 exactly 5 years (60 months) after each official release date.
How does offline licensing work during internet outages? ▼
Pluvira Pro includes an offline leeway grace period of up to 48 hours. Validated cryptographic tokens are persisted in a local atomic cache file (POSIX mode 0600) with hardware fingerprint verification. If your internet connection drops, Pro native acceleration and streaming failover continue uninterrupted for up to 48 hours without hitting the license server.
How does customer support and in-app helpdesk work? ▼
Pluvira integrates a Zero-PII live helpdesk drawer backed by open-source Chatwoot directly inside your local NAS WebUI and Customer Portal. Support access is cryptographically gated to paired user instances with a verified Crockford Base32 UID (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX), preventing spam without collecting email addresses or network IP logs.
